Contact: Michelle Caulfield 01376 345505   Braintree Catholic Carpet Bowls Club Braintree catholic carpet bowls club meets every Monday evening in the Jubilee Hall, from 7pm until 10pm. On average we have 20 to 24 members attending these club evenings, for practising and improving their bowling skills, in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The club is also a member of the Essex County Carpet Bowls Association and takes part in both League and friendly matches against other north Essex Clubs. At present time we are in the 2nd division, but hoping for a promotion to the 1st division at the end of a very successful season. Club members have the opportunity to take part in various charity matches, as well as bowling holidays and weekends. It is a great way to meet and make new friends and members from the Parish would be very welcome. Our aim is to promote the culture of our country and the interest of the Irish community in our parish. We hold several functions during the year including our very popular dinner dance. Irish step dancing and set dancing classes are held weekly. Membership is free. We have a board at the back of the church which details of all coming events and contact numbers.
